Restricted Space Antennas

Space - the last frontier!

KVK Antenna Systems has always had a focus on restricted space antennas. This has been driven in no small way by the operating conditions 4KVK has had over the nearly 30 years he has mantained a radio station. From the days when he was renting flats in the big cities to times when the backyard of the house was just not big enough for any antenna to speak of, his passion for the challenge of small spaces has paralelled his keenness for the hobby.

Now days, a more common challenge for many a ham is the recent move in many cities in VK to smaller allotments. Where as many of us grew up on the standard 800+ sq mtr block, it is becoming increasingly popular amongst councils to approve smaller allotments of 400 sq-mtr or less. This presents new challenges to the ham contemplating even the simplest dipole for 80 or 40m.

KVK Antenna Systems has become the boutique antenna fabrication unit of VK4KVK's efforts to bring his restricted space antenna designs to a wide range of hams both nationally and internationally. Not all hams have the tools, the workshop, the skills or the time to build the specialised antennas for ham radio. KVK Antenna Systems does just that. 4KVK is either thinking about and writing about his restricted space antennas (see his book web site @ http://www.grimshaw.net.au) or building the antennas for himself or his clients.

From 5-band 2-element single-DE quads with refreshingly better performance than the more normal 1W loop quads, to 2-element 40m and even 2-element 80m beams, to phased verticals, to rotatable dipoles, KVK Antenna Systems can better equip your shack to deal with the challenges of antenna space or the lack of it.
